Grand Piano

Jessica and I were at the office again on Friday and I got the idea that we should go backstage again so I could play with some photography.

My original idea was to get ghost hands moving across the keys using a long exposure but that didn't really work. I think that maybe a secondary light over her hands might have helped.

Very nice, too bad you can't add sound to the clip. M

How long was the exposure and how far was her hands moving across the keys? Maybe you could start the exposure and then have her move her hands out of the frame right away?

I did everything from 2 to 6 second exposures. I had her hands move both slowly and quickly over the keys. There just wasn't enough light on her hands to get them to show up.

Oh!!! I misunderstood you at first. I thought you wanted the silhouette of her hands to be more "ghostly". I didn't realize you wanted her own hands to show up. =P

Yeah, something like a faint desk lamp on the piano would have helped, but you already know that.
