Tuesday

I don't often draw landscapes... or buildings... or anything but people so I'm pretty bad at all those things. This is kind of a rough color I did from a photo. Not very good, but I'm gonna try to do one every day or two so I can improve.

Tomorrow I get to take a boat to work. I'm going to Kuchierabu, a small(er) island about two hours north of here. I'll teach tomorrow at the junior high, stay over one night and then teach at the elementary school the next day before coming home at night. It'll be a long couple days but should be fun.

It's a very nice painting, the colors are good. You need to get some paints and get it on canvas. Good job.

Im guessing it's pastel, it's got that rich layered look. It's very inviting and you did a great job on the sense of values. I enjoying keeping up with you! Do locals like making art too? Do you get a crowd when you work? Diane Olivier

Diane, its actually not pastels, though I really wish I had some here. It's digital, working on photoshop with a wacom. Not nearly as fun as working in a studio, but at least I can get some color practice in the meantime.

great job on a first landscape on ps. Many a firsts end up looking patchy but this one doesn't. you definitely have good discipline in keeping up the practice (unlike me, hoohoohoo)
